The ship had one large dining room, the Great Gatsby, which had two floors and two seatings - 6p and 830p. We chose the 6p seating and it was perfect. Royal Caribbean also allows anytime dining (more restaurant style), but we have always preferred getting to know our tablemates and our servers. We had excellent service and the food was great. I was a little dissapointed that we didn't have one night that had "better" food than the others; more of a formal night fare. Typically, we'll have lobster or crab legs one night on a cruise, but we didn't have that here. The menu was quite varied and all of the food was good. You could order filet mignon any night for a $14.95 surcharge.
Breakfast could be eaten in your stateroom (gratuity recommended), in the Great Gatsby Dining Room, or in the Windjammer Cafe.
Lunches were eaten in the Windjammer Cafe or in the burger station in the Solarium Cafe. The Windjammer Cafe had a medium sized salad bar, sandwiches (pre-made and make your own), and a wide variety of pastas, meats, prepared salads and desserts. Water, lemonade or tea were included with lunch. On two of the days, there was another buffet option on deck. One day, we had a selection of 1/2 chickens with different marinades and potatoes and another day, we had chips, salsas, and wraps.
The Solarium Cafe had hamburgers, pizza, french fries and typically another item of the day, such as a panini. The quality might remind you of the school cafeteria line, but the cafe was open until the wee hours of the morning and no one really cared then!
Overall, the food was good, but we had hoped they would have a better pizza and burger option. . . maybe on their bigger ships!
