Santorini; holy smokes this is place is scenic! One of the most beautiful places we have seen. This is where you'll see the whitewashed buildings with ocean blue roofs (the cathedrals have the blue roofs). It is a great place to buy paintings and a Greek ballcap! Head up and down the mountain to the picturesque city of Iao. It is your choice to take the incline car or the donkeys. If you take the donkeys, remember, there may be a smell attached! |

Large like Rome, the city is amazing with lots of history, but we'll be honest, a little scary. One of these days, we'll be able to spend more than one day here, and may have a different report. Take a tour, and of course, see the Acropolis that supports the Parthenon. |

The Strait of Messina, between Sicily and Italy is pretty narrow. Take a look at the roadway bridges on the coast of Italy while you're there. If you think the US is #1 in building roads, think again. Italians are masters at bridges and tunnels.

Naples is the big city at the foot of Mt. Vesuvius, which by the way, is still considered an active volcano and is constantly monitored. The volcano is considered one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world because of the population of 3,000,000 that live nearby and its tendency for explosive eruptions. When this volcano blows again, there will be quite a bit of destruction.
